Territories and intelligent infrastructure of the future Competitiveness and Innovation

ABSTRACT - In a society increasingly geared to the production of services, the use of information technology and communication is no longer considered an option, but it becomes a sine qua non for the development and competitiveness of the territories. This implies that the government take a proactive role in defining development strategies for digital networks. This is not a substitute for private provider of connectivity, but to promote development on the territory of adequate telecommunications networks (and services to which they can be provided) through the coordination of specific projects of co-financing them to see the mixed public- private against a set of priorities established for reasons of territorial re-balancing policies. The strategic framework that results is a set of territories formed by intelligent network, where each pole is the point of intersection and switching of multiple networks, not only connected by road, rail, air, as well as telecommunication systems and digital networks.
