Can You Go To Jail For Groping Somone

territorial development

ABSTRACT - This text collects in the form of working papers, the contributions of authors who have been selected to participate in the Atelier No 5 of the XIII Conference of the Italian Society Planners of 2010 on the theme "Innovation competitiveness and local development . Atelier goal is to reflect on how the innovative aspects of scientific research can give a boost to regional competitiveness in a sustainable environmental and social. The paper identifies, in more or less explicitly, a number of issues that seem to be at this time of the disciplinary debate, particularly fertile: firstly the development of ' Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and and its impact on urban models the future, and secondly some of the innovative aspects of scientific research, driven by European cohesion policies, can boost the competitiveness of local areas: eg. the use of digital networks and applications, knowledge-based economy, renewable energy, environmental and social sustainability, the combination of "identity-quality", etc.. From these considerations, the workshop wants to look to the future by the middle of the interests not so much the technological, sociological or economic issue, but rather the new models of cities that could come and establish a society definitely oriented toward globalization.

E-City digital network and city of the future

ABSTRACT - E-city is an analysis on the development of Information and Communication Technologies. It is a study that illustrates the innovations introduced by new technologies and the significant changes in urban planning and in future urban models. The planning of cities and territories is going through a transitional phase partly due to the advent of new technologies and the resulting “digital revolution”. Information and communica tion, which now permeate all aspects of social life, induce even substantial changes at all levels of activities, including urban functions and human relations. E-city describes these changes in three parts: e-Network, development of digital networks and territorial transformation processes; e-Planning, planning instruments and their innova tions related to ICT development; e-City, cities and territories of the future. The book adopts an innovative approach: not only the technological, sociological or economical aspects of the phenomenon, but rather the new urban models emerging from an information society that is increasingly geared towards globalisation. In the appendix, with a contribution from resear chers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston, the reader will find some recent studies of the Senseable City Lab, on how ICTs help describe, understand, use and plan the cities of the future.
